The Definition of Return On Investment

So what is ROI?

ROI is the abbreviation for return on investment. As a business owner it's essential that you understand this concept and make sure you've made a good investment and that you're making a profit.
Let me give you some examples that you've probably seen. Low risk investments such as government bonds have a ROI of around 3%. The ROI of an investment within the stock market is anywhere from 8% to 13%. As an new small business owner your return on investment is anywhere from 25% to 30%.
So how do they create these percentages? Well there's a very simple formula that person can follow, here's the formula: ROI = [(Payback-Investment)/(Investment)]*100

So what does this formula mean?

Payback is the total amount of money earned from the investment. Investment is the total amount of resources used to get your payback.
As a business owner you've got to be able see if your business is making you money, but more than that you've got see if you're making the most amount of money with the time and resources you're putting into your business. A successful business is more than just a business that turns a profit, you need to make sure you're making the largest amount of income for the time and resources that you've invested.
Having a good ROI is essential for a business to truly flourish. As a business owner you need to learn how to utilize your assets, cash, and funds to have a good return on investment. My advice is to find a business that is a small investment and that provide a large earning potential. A great place to find a business like this is on the internet.
